I ordered some magnets for my car. They're for animal rescue transport. I don't know why. If I do actually move in a year (or two) will I still do transports for a new rescue? But maybe some people will drive better around me if I have rescue animals on board? I don't know. Maybe when I arrive to pick up animals, non-fosters might feel better seeing the magnets that say "Animal Rescue Transport?" But I was thinking about it and found out that they exist, and were available, so yeah, they're ordered.

In the world of fanfic, Melancholy Man has bumped Ziva David Is Not My Lover out of the # 3 slot that it's probably held for 10 years. It crept up slowly, then I suddenly noticed MM had taken the spot.

I was thinking... in a regular year, the Reverse Bang drafts would be due either this weekend or next. I'm maybe halfway through. However, considering I knew I was having surgery, I don't think I would have grabbed a banner if it was due in April. But I still need to get to work on it. I still have a way to go. At least two more chapters. And knowing how wordy I get, it could be more than that.

comments

I was watching NCIS last night. I thought the guest star looked like Kristian Ventura with shorter hair, but was like, no, he's worn his hair longish for School Spirits so far, he wouldn't cut it... would he? Then I heard the voice and was like, oh, that is DEFINITELY Kristian Ventura!

So I had to look it up, and yes, Kristian Ventura got a buzz cut around January of 2026. I generally don't use cash.

2. Regardless of their actual value, do you like bills or coins better?
I would rather carry bills around, but I find coins more interesting.

3. What is your favorite foreign currency? And why?
My parents brought me a coin from Austria that had a Lipizzaner horse on it. That was cool.

4. Do you collect coins or bills? Elaborate.
I have a few old coins, like wheat pennies, and a few coins that are actually silver. It's not much of a collection, but kind of cool to look at them now and then.

5. Do you think human society could make do completely without money? Explain.
Without money at all, or just without physical money? As noted, I've used credit cards for years. I often carry just a $10 or $20 bill just in case a place doesn't accept credit cards, but more and more places are going cashless these days. So I do feel someone could get by without having physical cash, but I don't see humans getting to the point of working without getting paid, or just giving people cars, travel, food, and utilities, etc. for free.

comments

To bingo or not to bingo... that is the question

I've never done a fanfic bingo card. Never. I always figure I'd get something that there's no way I could finish it because of the random theme draws. One of the multi-fandom challenges I follow has announced a bingo challenge, and there's a choice of getting a 3x3 card or a 5x5 card. I'm sort of thinking, with a 3x3 card, using the wildcard feature, I could get by with just writing two random themes, and I am guessing for the wildcard you write a theme of your choice... but I don't know. In real bingo, it's a free space.

But yeah, I'm thinking about it. But then I'm thinking I have a lot of stuff coming up, and I'm still writing my RB. I may wait until my RB is done and then think about it. Although, of the good, there's no penalty for not completing the bingo card. Only the disappointment of not being able to finish the challenge.

comments

Not only did my books get picked up and delivered to me today, but the DVD I ordered, which said it would 'deliver by Tuesday,' also delivered today. And what was that DVD? Let It Be! The 1970 Beatles movie. I saw it as a kid, and it's been really hell trying to buy a copy. I tried to buy VHS copies several times back when you just sent in your check with an order form, and every single time, they canceled the order and either returned my check or issued a full refund. I kept looking in catalogs and tried to order it multiple times, but never got it.

Then, years ago, I found a bootleg VHS copy at a convention. I was glad I bought it when I did because that table got shut down, and they were kicked out (I'm guessing for selling bootlegs). But I got it! That one had been made from a laser disc. Does anyone remember those? LOL. Basically, it was a disc about the size of a 33-1/3 LP. But it didn't hold more than an hour of video per side, so on the VHS copy, there's a pause where they stop to flip it over to side 2. I was still so happy to find it. But yeah, I've been looking and looking and looking for a DVD copy for years, and I finally found it. The guy said he only had two copies left, and I got one. It shipped fast, too. I think I ordered it on Friday or Saturday, and it arrived today. It *might* have a glitchy spot. It started getting weird with about 19 minutes to go, so I stopped and resumed it a couple of times. By time it started running smoothly again, it was down to about 16 minutes, but no issues after that. I did take it out and cleaned it, so maybe there was a spot of dust, or maybe it was my old laptop starting to have issues. I did watch the whole thing, and enjoyed it. I'll have to try it in a different DVD player at some point. Plus, it says it also has 2 hours of music videos, plus a bunch of extras (interviews and such). I just watched the movie today. Yeah, I already have Get Back. It's just not the same. It's not bad or anything, but it's not THE movie they made back in 1970.

***SPOILERS FOR TONIGHT'S EXTRACTED***

comments

News to me, as I saw the carrier drop off my mail, and she was at the neighbor's house when I went out to my box. There were no books. I checked around. I had my main door open, and my storm door is glass from top to bottom, so I could clearly see that she did not get out of her vehicle.
Last night, I went to bed, then for some weird reason, I was having trouble sleeping and decided to venture across the house with the lights off. Usually, I turn on a light or two, but if I want to get back to sleep, it's better if I don't.

So, Chaser was in the bed, check. I thought I could make out a black blob in the hallway outside my bedroom door, Ozzie, check. I did think it was odd because that's often where Pippin likes to sit. I kept going down the hallway and saw Pippin in the living room near the edge of the foyer. I got closer and saw something odd outside my front door. I have a solid door, with a section of glass about six inches wide on either side, that are the same height as the door. And outside one of those tall, narrow windows was a black cat looking inside at Pippin!

My first thought was, "HOW DID OZZIE GET OUTSIDE?" My second thought was, "DIDN'T I JUST PASS OZZIE IN THE HALLWAY, INSIDE?" I flipped on the hall light, and sure enough, there's my Ozzie, in the hallway, INSIDE.

So where did this other black cat come from? I've never seen another black cat just roaming around the neighborhood.

I put on some shoes and opened the door. The black cat looked like he had longer hair than Ozzie. I stepped on the porch, and he walked out to the driveway and sat there. I spoke to him softly, but it was cold, so I went inside to grab a coat. I came out and found the cat had disappeared, so I walked down the street a short distance, and didn't see him anywhere, but yeah, black cat at night... they're difficult to spot.

I walked back to my house and decided to walk around the house. I was really surprised to see the black cat just lying down on the neighbor's patio. I didn't want to spook him, so I spoke softly, then went back to my house to grab some kitty treats, but when I came back, he was gone. That was weird!

comments

It was down around freezing on Monday. On Thursday, it was up to 93F, which broke a record. The local weather people said we've broken five records so far for high temperature in March of this year, and Thursday's 93F was the hottest recorded temp ever for March. And today? It got down into the 20s overnight and is currently around 30F. It's pretty crazy weather. Next week, we're supposed to have rain every day again. Welcome to spring.

I managed to walk Tues, Weds, and Thurs, but didn't walk yesterday. It was cold and windy. Not sure if I will walk today. I'm still technically in recovery, and some days I feel better than other days. I didn't sleep great last night, and I'm not feeling all that good so far today, but it's still early. I had plans to go out today, but not sure I'm feeling up to it.

And I got a bit more writing done on my RB, very close to 10K now. Pippin, who will eat practically anything, suddenly stopped eating one flavor of the pate, so I got her some Sheba cuts, and she's totally fine eating the same flavor in cuts. And she still refuses that flavor in pate.

I haven't found ANY wet food that Ozzie likes. He'll eat some wet treats. He'll usually eat Delectables, and he's been eating Churus. The treats are a lot more expensive than the food, and there isn't much there. But that's all he'll eat. And sometimes he won't even eat the Churus. So, I started sitting on the floor with him and hand-feeding his little princely face straight from the tube. He's usually pretty okay with that. Chaser eats anywhere from half to most of her pate, but never finishes it. Actually, I only give her HALF of a serving to start with, and now I save the other half for the following day. So, Chaser is only eating less than half of a Sheba portion. And that's okay because chunky-monkey Pippin will eat her full serving of cuts, then will finish up whatever Chaser leaves behind. Ozzie will sometimes walk away from Churu if I just put it in a bowl. Depending on his mood, he may eat most or all of a tube if I hand-feed him, and again, Pippin will eat whatever he leaves behind.

After my surgery, I had some dizzy moments/balance issues and lacked energy, so I stopped sitting on the floor with Ozzie. I began just putting his Churu into a bowl and setting it down. Well, he won't even touch the chicken-flavor Churu when I do that, but laps up the tuna. So today, the first time since my surgery, I sat down on the floor with him, and he nearly finished a whole tube of chicken-flavored Churu. It just cracks me up that he will enthusiastically eat it from the tube, but turns away from it in a bowl. Cats can be so weird!

In other cat news, I took Pippin out on her leash yesterday. The first time in a long time. Definitely the first time since my surgery. We mostly just sat on the front porch getting some fresh air, but we did walk a bit on the driveway. I've taught her that when she comes inside the house, she has to STOP and wait for me to remove her harness and leash. THEN she can run off. She's gotten very good at that. She seems to enjoy spending some time outside.

comments

Cat Chat

I sneezed when I was getting their wet food breakfast together. Chaser generally doesn't react when I sneeze. Ozzie has gotten used to it. He doesn't react if he's sitting next to me. Poor little Pippin is still a little freaked out when it happens. This morning, I sneezed and immediately heard the cats scrambling across the vinyl floor. I think it scared Pippin, then when she freaked out, THAT scared Ozzie. Chaser just wanted breakfast... LOL

Ozzie has been very attentive during my recovery. He's been sitting on me or beside me, and purring several times a day. Last night, after Chaser had put in her 15-20 minutes of sleeping on my chest, Ozzie came over and settled on my chest for the first time ever. He was again just purring away like a motorboat. Eventually, he moved over to the cat bed. Pippin still isn't sure about sleeping on the bed. But Ozzie didn't start sleeping on the bed until maybe a year or so ago, so maybe Pippin will change her mind. She has definitely decided that she loves having her head pet.

Writing

So my plan was to finish my RB before my surgery. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I got three chapters written as of Feb 8th. I haven't looked at it since then. I keep meaning to, but surgery was very draining, and I'm just starting to feel better. I haven't left the house in over two weeks except for my surgery and my follow-up visits with my surgeon. I did stop by the grocery store once on my way home because I needed some other food. I haven't even walked around the neighborhood. I seriously simply did not have the energy to do so.

Anyway, I'd planned to read my story during recovery, but didn't even have the energy to do that. So, I'm hoping I can convince myself to read those three chapters today or tomorrow and get back into my writing mode. Perhaps I can get some ideas on where to go next. I'm not really one for outlines. I had some general idea of where I was heading, but no specific scenes or details.

Other Stuff

I've made another post to the addme_Fandom community. I miss having other NCIS fans to chat with. It seems only a handful ever even checked DW out, and for the most part, they didn't like it and haven't been active on DW for years.

I've been really enjoying Starfleet Academy and School Spirits. I still hate that they now call 10 eps a season. That's not a season. That's a mini-series! I feel bad for the people who work on shows because 10 eps doesn't pay their bills for a year, and they're out trying to find other jobs to fill in the gap.

Of the good, I saw an article saying that the School Spirits writers already have ideas (and apparently have been writing) for S4. I also heard that Starfleet Academy S2 has finished filming, but I guess we're not going to see it for another year or so. *sigh*

comments

It was to meet and interact with Fandom folks.

2. How many DW or LJ communities do you subscribe to?
Dozens, although many seem to have gone inactive.

3. Do you have a favorite community or one you check out often to see what's new?
Not really these days. I'll check them if I catch them on my feed. I still run a handful of communities myself, and try to keep those active, but it can be difficult. I know my Fandom has fans and writers, but no clue where they hang out these days. It doesn't seem to be LJ or DW!

4. How did you pick your user name?
I picked my Pen Name, "Jacie," because it doesn't appear Fandom-specific. There is a "JC" in my first Fandom, but many people are also named "Jacie." I wanted something that gave a nod to the Fandom that people who were in the Fandom would recognize, but didn't want something that pointed to a specific Fandom for the average person. Even though I've only been in two Fandoms in over 20 years, I recognized from the start that most Fandom people would dabble in multiple Fandoms over the long term. I didn't want to choose a name that was very specific to one Fandom.

5. If you could change your user name, would you?
Well, no. But as far as I know, you can still pay money/tokens for a name change. I did change the name of my LJ Fanfic account, where I post my stories. It was originally "Syncalot," which was a play on my first Fandom, plus a little nod to Monty Python's Spamalot. I have since changed it to "Jacie3" as "Jacie" was taken on LJ before I have had an account there. I'm glad I was able to grab "Jacie" on DW for my fanfic journal!

comments

I've found that I prefer to DVR movies and watch them when I can FF through the commercials. Another option is to put the TV on, and keep rewinding the movie any time I hit a bank of commercials. In that case, I wind up watching some parts 2-3 times.

Anyway, I watched Wonka for the first time and really liked it. I am with Sonny (from SEAL Team) that I prefer the Gene Wilder depiction of Willy Wonka to Johnny Depp's as the latter is just 'a bit too weird for me.' But yeah, really enjoyed the Wonka.

Today, I watched The Cutting Edge. I probably never would have seen this movie if it wasn't Trevor's favorite film (from Ghosts). It's an okay movie. It's watchable, but pretty predictable romcom. I don't know if I would feel the need to watch this one again. It wasn't bad. But I mean, I predicted everything coming up.

One thing I saw that was interesting about The Cutting Edge is that it was directed by none other than Paul M Glaser. You know, STARSKY! Did you know he's also a director? I knew, but I never sought out what he worked on as a director. He also directed an episode of Criminal Minds called Masterpiece, which stars Jason Alexander. Glaser has a cameo, but also directed. That's one of my favorite CM episodes, although if you look at reviews, it seems that most people dislike it and consider it one of the worst. Good thing I don't really care what other people think!

Watching a new set of queens on RuPaul's Drag Race. The two queens I didn't really care for are gone.

I found out something new about the woman who plays Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon. She's the daughter of Laurie Metcalf, who plays Mary Cooper on The Big Bang Theory. I thought it was such a good casting choice because she's so spot on, and now I know why!

Let's see, what else. A new season of Extracted has begun. One of those shows where I can't explain why I like it, but I find it interesting. I really thought I would detest Fear Factor, but they had a thing with horses, and I was willing to watch the horses. I mean, it's kind of a goofy show, and I would never do it. You couldn't pay me enough to do those stunts. Nope! Nopity nope nope nope! But it can be entertaining, especially when they plot, and it backfires.

Next Level Chef has started up again, so I'm watching that. And there's a new show with Denis O'Leary, called Going Dutch. It's kind of almost funny. It reaches, but doesn't quite get there. Except for Papadakis, who is hilarious. I sometimes watch DMV. The latter two I like because they're more like the old style shows, where you can watch any episode and not feel LOST.

Very happy to see School Spirits back. Love it, enjoying the new season, but sad it will be over far too soon. I mean, there are only 8 episodes. They released 3 the first week, and one the following week, so year, we're halfway through season 3 already.

And I don't pay that much attention to Masked Singer, but since the Disney/Hulu pack is now linked to DirecTV for FREE, I was able to catch up. It's not a 'must see' for me.

Disappointed that NCIS and NCIS: Origins return was delayed. I've seen comments that people are pissed there is so much time without a new episode airing. But that's what happens when they cut down the number of episodes they make in a year. Not happy about getting fewer episodes.

How about you?

comments

I normally have the TV on in the background (I suffer from tinnitus), often tuned to NCIS or CNN.

In the last couple of days, I've been hearing the name Lindsey Vonn. And it sounded really familiar. But not because she's a skier. Lindsey Vaughn is a character on Criminal Minds. I know some fictional characters have completely fictitious names. Some are actually named in part for a person whom the writer knows, or sometimes someone who works with a show, or in memory of a past character/actor.

But I wonder, because Lindsey Vonn joined the US team in 2002, several years before the first episode of Criminal Minds featuring Lindsey Vaughn aired (Jan 2008), was the name chosen because of the skier? The character is not a good person... LOL. Well, she was kidnapped, then urged her father to murder her kidnapper. She later appeared again years later as a hit-woman for hire (amongst other things).

comments

What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I remember wanting to be a teacher, and wanting to be a writer.

2. What is your proudest accomplishment so far?
Oh, I don't know. I suppose it depends on what you mean by accomplishment.
I suppose I'm most proud of adopting and caring for my cats, and giving them a loving home.

3. What is your dream job?
Not sure I have one at this point... LOL. I mean, who really wants to work? But I suppose my biggest dream would be to have one of my original books published, made into a movie, and then have one or more of my musician friends write and play on the soundtrack for it. That would be very cool.

4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully, in Portland, Oregon. Gosh, Ozzie will be 15, and Pippin will be 12. Sadly, I don't think Chaser is going to be around, she'd be close to 25.

5. What does it take to make you happy?
Cat on lap. Beatles on radio.
We got about 10". At least that was what I had on my sidewalk. The driveway had closer to 13". It took me almost an hour to clear it with the snow thrower. I still had about 1/4 box of ice melt and tossed some at the edge of the driveway, the sidewalk, and the porch. I'm supposed to have a delivery tomorrow. That's the real reason I went ahead and cleared the snow today. Also hoping we get mail, as we did not get mail delivery on Saturday. It's not going to be any warmer tomorrow, and it will be colder in the morning than it was this afternoon. At least it was sunny, and around 14-15F. But yeah, it's all done.

Then my garage door wouldn't close. Years ago, a ladder fell and knocked one of the safety sensors a bit off. I think it broke what ever attached it. I was able to manually adjust it, and it's worked for YEARS since that happened, but today, it decided it didn't want to work when I'd finished the driveway. I messed with it, rigged it. The first time, the door started and almost immediately went back up. The next time, it looked like the door was coming down a bit crooked, and it got near the bottom and went back up. I'd put a screw in through the door rail thing, and once the door got to that point, it went back up.

My final attempt, I saw two old rusty hoofpicks sitting there, so I propped the sensor up with the hoofpicks... LOL. No clue how long they'd hold. I really need to find a screw or nail and firmly attach that sensor again. But yeah, at least the driveway and sidewalk are both clear, and we're not expecting any more snow in the next week, as far as I know. Even though it's supposed to remain below freezing at least until next Monday or Tuesday.

comments

I wrote about 1000 words last Sunday, another 500 on Monday, and 1000 more on Tuesday. That was Chapter 1. Chapter 2 is a more elusive beast.

I contacted my artist last week. I've known her for years, and have met her in person. She's my regular beta, but said up front she can't beta for me this time around. I have a couple backup people who might be willing to beta for me. Sorry to say, they're more into the grammar and less into making those suggestions that help shape the story in a good way. But I still really appreciate their help.

I'm not going to ask my artist to beta for me, but if she randomly offers suggestions as she reads (IF she reads it?), I won't complain.

I created two banners this year for the RB claims. They both went in the first round! Actually, they both had claims in before the first round as both of the artists who requested early ballots each claimed one of them. They didn't officially get them until claims were underway. One cool thing is that EVERYONE who made a claim officially got their first choice. I really got my second, but as I felt I could work with 5 of the 7 banners, and didn't have a firm idea in mind, I opted to wait and see what other people claimed. So my real first choice was claimed by someone else, and I opted not to fight over it, so I claimed the one I wanted that no one else had put a claim on. It all worked out. I'm happy. Everyone should be happy getting their first choices!

The author who claimed my Tony/Nick piece sounds very excited and said she had an idea immediately. She shared, and I love it! I can't wait to read the story!

The other author, I only heard from today (claims were LAST Saturday). She said she's very happy she was able to get my Gibbs/Tony winter banner. She said she has several ideas and needs to narrow it down. We shall see.

comments

I have a small post office about 2-3 miles from my house. It's actually right next door to the new gym that just opened. They used to be pretty good, but as the older people have retired, the new people kind of suck. I'll mail birthday cards from there, but about anything else, I drive to the larger post office, which is 6-7 miles away.

I've always suspected the smaller POs send their stuff to the larger hubs anyway, plus, my car needs to be driven more than a couple of miles now and then. Since it's close to Costco, and not that far from the PetSmary, I usually do the cat cleaning gig, then post office, then Costco, then Walmart, then home on Tuesdays.

Anyway, this large hub PO says mail dropped there by 5:45PM will go out that day (at the small office, mail has to be dropped by 4PM!).

I dropped some mail there on Tuesday - one bill, one questionnaire going back to the surgeon's office, and an Ancestry DNA kit.

I just checked the tracking for that DNA kit, and the large PO scanned it at 11:53AM. I'm not sure exactly when I dropped it, but I'd guestimate it was between 11:00 and 11:30 AM. But yeah, awesome to know that ALL mail doesn't sit until the end of the day. Apparently, they process it throughout the day as it's dropped off. I ALWAYS go inside to drop it off. And now it's showing out for delivery today. I'm really impressed because I've had things take 10 days to get from the post office to a place within 30 miles, and the DNA kit is getting delivered about 350 miles away in 2 days. I'm guessing stuff with tracking might get treated a little better.

As far as the DNA kit, this is the 3rd one, but some are better than others. Ancestry.com is one of the very best. I've had varying degrees, like one said I had little to no British in me, and I KNOW FOR A FACT that my 9th and 10th great-grandfathers through my mother's mother's side were from Kent, England.

The funniest thing was about 30 years ago, I was messing around with Ancestry.com, paid for a subscription for a year, and kept digging and digging. I've forgotten where she was, but somewhere in my family line, according to what someone had on Ancestry.com, was a Princess from Portugal. I laughed it off, thinking there is absolutely NO WAY. However, one of the DNA tests came back and said I am 1% Portugese. That makes me believe it's true. So yeah, I definitely believed one DNA test more than the other. But also, every year, they're adding hundreds of thousands of DNA samples worldwide, so I believe that makes the testing more and more accurate. It will be interesting to see the results in 6-8 weeks.

comments

Today should get up to 40 F, but tomorrow's temps are supposed to drop dramatically. Right now, they're showing a high around 10F with negative windchills. Apparently, it's going to be around there all weekend, AND there's a major snowstorm blowing in, too.

When I first heard about the snowstorm, they said it was more likely to go south of us. That was a few days ago. Every day, as it gets closer, it's shifting further and further north. So first, we were in the no snow zone, then the 1"-2" zone, then the 2"-4" zone. This morning, they're saying 4"-6" for us. So, it's hard to say. I believe the closer we get, the more accurate it will be.

Honestly, the snow doesn't bother me that much. But I despise bitter cold weather. I hate when it's below freezing for any amount of time. I don't like having windchills.

Yesterday, it was in the 40s, but the windchill was a bitter bite. It felt really cold when I was out walking.

Every year, we seem to get 1-2 weeks where the temps never get above freezing, which can happen in December, January, and/or February. This may be one of those times. Brrrrr.

I'm definitely taking a shower today, and might run up to Costco to top off my gas. Not sure. I don't think I'm down that much, and I don't really drive much... but I really hate to have to gas up the car in negative windchills. And I really need to get a walk in today.

ETA

Just checked the 10-day, and we're not expected to be above freezing until February 3-4. Yeah, I may go fill the tank even though it's not down that much. Probably need to do some shopping around, pick up some groceries.

comments

2026 NCIS Reverse Bang

The 2026 NCIS Reverse Bang claims opened on Saturday. As I didn't have strong feelings for any of the banners, I let others make their choices first.

Last year, I had really strong ideas for one banner, and I kept hoping no one else would list it first. I really wanted it, but don't think anyone would believe me that I won a tie. There was one tie last year, but I wasn't involved. There were no ties this year. YAY! Okay, there would have been if I went with my original choices, but again, I made a decision to let other people get their claims in first. I do post everyone's choices so people can see who asked for what, and whether there was any lapover or ties. I think it helps encourage the artists to know that their banner was on a list even if it wasn't chosen.

There were 7 banners, and I felt I could work with 4-5 of them. The last one has an HP character, and anyone who has been around me for a while knows, I don't do HP (or DCU or MCU). Just not my thing. But not only me, but someone else was wondering if the artist would swap the HP character for an NCIS character, and she said, sure, no problem. Anyway, 3 of the 5 I could work with were claimed by others as their 1st choices. So, there was a castle banner, and the HP banner left. I thought about it a while, and in the end took the Castle banner. It features Gibbs, Tony, Tim, Abby, and Nick.

I wrote the first 1000 words yesterday. The challenge has a 5000-word minimum. I wanted to get a jump on it since my spring may be taken up with those couple of things going on that I've been mentioning. I'd like to get it done, or mostly done by March.

Both of my banners were claimed. One was Tony and Nick in the desert. The other was Tony and Gibbs with a house on a snowy hill. I emailed my artist and both authors on Saturday. I've heard back from two of them. I really dislike non-responsive people. One of my biggest pet peeves. Hopefully, I'll hear from the last person SOON.

AO3

Also, for those using AO3:

AO3 will be down for about 15 hours starting at 08:00 UTC on January 21.

Here's the post: https://ao3newstumblr-feed.dreamwidth.org/242395.html

And other such things...

So for this year's Hell's Kitchen, I'm really about equal between Jada and Ellie. Jada's always been at the top, and is so darn cute! Ellie kept getting better and better as time went on, and rose to the top. Both wonderful. I'm not sure I have a favorite between them.

On RuPaul's Drag Race Myki Meeks is so cute, in or out of drag, and seems sweet. But I think Jane Don't has been slaying everything. I'll be shocked if she doesn't wind up in the final four, if not the overall winner. I liked Mandy Mango, but I guess she made just enough mistakes to get herself booted. She seemed nice.

Starfleet Academy! OMG, I've wanted them to make a SFA show since TNG came out. I've tried watching it. I don't hate it. But I keep falling asleep! LOL. I've never watched Discovery. I have watched a few episodes of Stranger Worlds, and enjoy it, but again, I seem to keep falling asleep.

I saw a couple shows are starting up their new seasons.

I also saw that NCIS (and Origins) was delayed again, now returning March 3rd. My brother will be in town, so I'm not sure if he'll want to watch it. I may have to wait until after he's gone. I'm still pissy that COVID changed what was a NORMAL season from 24 episodes to somewhere between 10-20 for most shows. I WANT 24 EPISODES (per season).

I also saw that School Spirits is scheduled to return at the end of January. Looking forward to that. Apparently, Simon is still trapped, but Maddie is back. At least, that's how it appeared at the end of last season.

I heard that season 4 of Yellowjackets will be the last. I'm not sure I'm totally caught up. It's kind of a strange show. Anyway, I heard they're starting filming next month, and expect to release the final season at the end of 2026. I think at some point, I'm going to have to binge-watch that whole series.

comments
